Autobots, Roll Out

Gettodeath strikes again, this time with a very good video of the Autobot fleet as they drive by. I believe the footage was shot in the Queensbay Bridge area in Long Beach California. The shots show Optimus Prime, Ironhide, Bumblebee, the Chevy Beat, Trax, and the concept Corvette Centennial. I do believe this is the first time all of them have been seen together like this and its the first time the public has a view of the corvette in motion. The usual what, why, and so forth remains a mystery but very cool to see all the Transformer cars together.

Ice Cream Truck and Other Pics

The Stop Sector Seven forum has posted additional pictures from "an airforce base out in California" (that I am guessing is Edwards but lot of bases out there) that provides an excellent shot of the mysterious ice cream truck. It also shows Optimus Prime, Ironhide, and the Chevy Trax.

I am convinced that truck is a Transformer. It’s been seen on two separate sets on two different coasts in the proximity of other TF vehicles. The cost of transporting the vehicle cross country isn't worth it just for Bay's nonexistent misinformation campaign. With the Trax and the pink truck in the same set, I am wondering if this disproves the theory that the Twins are the truck and later convert to the Trax and Beat. Maybe the vehicle is Kup. Way back in February, Bay had suggested there might be a "geriatric robot". Thanks to Michael for the link.

TF Ice Cream Truck Video

A few weeks ago Gettodeath was able to take pictures of some of the vehicles while they where at a San Pedro site filming for Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen. Below is a brief video that Gettodeath provided today of the mysterious Ice Cream truck that keeps popping up.

Transformers At San Pedro (Updated)

Thanks to Gettodeath for providing the pictures below taken Saturday at San Pedro, CA where Transformers 2 was filming. They show Optimus Prime, the mysterious Ice Cream Truck, Ironhide and NEST vehicles. Gettodeath suggests that Stinger and Wheels are the two Transformers that form the ice cream truck. Since their alt modes are not even close to being verified, it’s actually a pretty good theory since both TFs are on the Bethlehem call sheet.

I am thinking the scenes being filmed are a prelude to whatever action was filmed in the interior of Bethlehem Steel. If you look at the first picture, you will notice neon Chinese signs that look very similar to signs put up at Bethlehem Steel. In the second picture, at the end of the road is a Chinese sign that looks identical to the front entrance sign that Jason took back in June, but imagine it after you drive under it and look at it from behind.

Princeton Day 1 Picture Extravaganza

I have already posted a report with pictures of the Transformers 2 Princeton University shoot. Well here are a bunch more from a lot of site readers.

First up is JD, who reports that the Saturn Astra used in the shoot (and seen at UPENN) actually has a twin. One was pre-damaged for a collision with the light pole with a large hole in the windshield and damage on the hood (first pic in the background). The second car is an un-damaged version of the same vehicle. He also provided a picture of some of the rigging around Holder Hall and a shot of Megan chilling in the shade.


Next up is pictures from Mike. He reports seeing Shia, Megan, Ramon, and Isabel all filming on set. As for the pics, they show the area being shot, Shia in the Astra which suggests he is in it when it gets shot up and crashes in a pole and the camera Go-Kart (also seen at Bethlehem) that usually follows the action to get the various needed coverage.


Onward to to BP who also reports seeing the two Astras and the Pursuit Systems Go-Kart. The pictures show the pre-damaged Astra and Megan Fox is she does whatever it she is doing.


Cheeseburger's turn. She provides some close-up eye candy for the guys and girls (depending on your preferences) in the form of Shia Labeouf and Megan Fox. Personally I am not complaining about Megan's outfit.

Last, but not least, is J Fuller. He was once again tapped to be an extra thanks to wearing solid color clothing to help in the blending that background requires. He was with his friend as they walked and talk. The scene, filmed 5-6 times, was of Megan Fox getting out of a taxi cab and collecting her bags from the trunk. He also spotted Shia, and unlike last time, was friendly and spent a good deal of time signing autographs for everyone. Megan did sign 5 but then left. J also learned that they are filming through Wednesday and that all scenes would be "walk & talks" so no Transformer cars are expected. He also learned that the cast is staying at the Princeton Marriot.

Potential Spoilers. The shoot at UPENN and Princeton are two sides of the same coin where, via the magic of editing, will all represent Sam at Princeton for the movie. Obviously something happens though to get Sam from Princeton and on to his next Transformer adventure and Cheeseburger has a theory from the various conversations she has heard on the sets for the last week or so.

The idea is the basic plot for the two shoots is Sam touches a box or some TF object and loses it in the middle of class drawing symbols the same way his great grandpa Witwicky did. This leads him to getting locked up in a prison or insane asylum and needing to get broken out. She also heard references to Megatron's return. Speculate and discuss but remember it is all theory until the movie comes out. The speculation is half the fun anyway (your theory turning out to be right later is the other half :P).

Bumblebee & Friends Go To Jail

VDG has provide some great photos of Bumblebee, the green Chevy Beat and red Chevy Trax as they where brought into Eastern State Penitentiary Thursday afternoon. As one of the pics show, he was able to get a shot of the Trax's rims showing the Autobot symbol. It might be my imagination but I think the Beat has them too. He also was able to get close enough to get shots of Shia on the set. With three Autobots, Shia, Megan, and report of blast shields, it’s safe to say a major action sequence takes place here.

In addition to the pictures below, Faded Silver Screen blog has photos taken around 6:30pm for when production briefly moved to filming on Fairmount Avenue outside the penitentiary with all three cars being filmed leaving in a rush. The post says after a few takes they called it a wrap but not sure if that means for the night or for that location.

Bumblebee and Friends at City Hall

Mia has provided the below pictures and video from Philadelphia City Hall set in its role as Ecole Militarie in Paris, France. Kevin Dunn and Julie White were spotted on site as they filmed a scene as Sam's parents on vacation there. As the video shows, at some point some TF related chaos ensues.

The below pictures are various shots of Bumblebee, a green Chevy Beat and an orange Chevy Trax. The cars were spotted yesterday driving down Front Street suggesting the two concept cars are Transformer alt modes. The remaining pictures show extras getting instruction from Bay and just the general look of the scene. Last is a video that shows set planned explosion going off as the extras act scared and scatter.

A final note, Mia found out that Shia Labeouf and Megan Fox are expected to participate in the filming at Eastern State Penitentiary this Friday and Saturday. Sunday is a day of rest as production moves to Princeton, NJ to film something, somewhere at sometime in that area.

Front Street Chase Pics

Yesterday I mentioned that filming was done Front Street involving Bumblebee, a green car and an orange car.

Thanks to Aeriobot24, he found the blog eGM CarTech which has photos of the three. Update: The photos on the blog came from Jalopnik via their readers. As the photos below show, the green car is the Chevy Beat from the Smithsonian and the orange or red car is the Chevy Trax concept car.

At this point I am wondering when the Chevy Groove will pop up. I find it probable that the Trax is another Transformer, name unknown. Also I am starting to wonder if this isn't what "The Twins" might become since the green ice cream truck hasn't made any additional appearances or maybe part of a group of TFs similar to the "Seekers" theme for Starscream's group.

I went ahead and updated the TF Cheat Sheet to reflect this new potential Autobot.
